Travel to the fairy tale village of El Cobre, located 22 kilometres from the city of Santiago. This is the site of the Lady of Charity, the patron saint of Cuba and centre of peregrination of many religious Cubans. The tour will take you to a small church guarding the image of the saint, a place that has been visited by many celebrities including Popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. From there you can spot the remains of ancient copper mines.
