DAY 1 » LANDING ON HAVANA
You will be welcomed in Havana at the Jose Marti International Airport and privately transferred to a hotel in the old part of the city. Accommodation is on a Bed & Breakfast basis.
DAY 2 » EXPLORING THE HISTORICAL TOWN
Enjoy a nice breakfast and get ready for your first guided tour. Take your camera and your bottle of water (included!) and start this 3-hour exploration of the old part of the city through its World Heritage’s colonial architecture and cobblestoned streets. Stroll to Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja and Plaza de la Catedral. Wander through the small gift shops selling handmade souvenirs and photograph the magnificent buildings. Just when your body clock tells you it is time for lunch, you will try the flavours of Cuban and international cuisine at one of Havana’s restaurants. Meals are served on a set menu with one drink included. The afternoon will be yours to walk around as desired. You may follow your guide´s suggestions to make your own Havana holiday.
DAY 3 » MOVING FROM HAVANA TO WESTERN GREEN LANDS
After an early breakfast, you will be driven in a collective bus to the beautiful rural area of Viñales in Pinar del Rio. Accommodation is at a local hotel.
DAY 4 » VISITING THE LAND OF TOBACCO
The singing of the birds will announce breakfast time and the beginning of your Pinar del Rio quest. There you’ll have the chance to visit stunning natural and man-made sites such as the Prehistoric Mural (entrance fee included), Los Jazmines lookout and the Indian cave (boat trip included). Lunch is at a typical Cuban restaurant. Before sunset, you´ll be taken back to your hotel.
DAY 5 » FAREWELL TO THE GREEN LANDS OF TOBACCO
With some morning hours to spend in the activity of your choice, say goodbye to Western Cuba after midday to be driven back to Havana on a coach transfer to a small hotel in the old town.
DAY 6 » FLYING TO THE EAST
You´ll need to wake up very early for this unique adventure on the east of the island. You will be driven at 03:30 hrs to the International Airport in Havana to fly to Baracoa, Cuba´s fist village to wander along its waterfront, considered by many as one of the best ocean drives in the world! You will also admire the city´s iconic fortresses, but save some energy because at night a charming guide will take you out around own to add more fun to the tour.
DAY 7 » RELAXING IN BARACOA
On day seven, you will be at leisure on this amazing destination. You could ask the tour guide on Day 6 for some tips on what to do.
DAY 8 » CONTINUING YOUR TRIP TO ANOTHER EASTERN CITY
After profiting of a free morning, at 13:00 hrs you will be taken to the VIAZUL bus station to travel to Santiago de Cuba on a collective bus. There you will get acquainted with one of the most renowned cities in Cuba for its history.
DAY 9 » LEARNING ABOUT THE SO CALLED HEROIC CITY
After the first meal of the day, prepare yourself to walk around the streets of Santiago and discover the warm and hospitable people and how the spirit of history is felt everywhere. Stroll around La Loma de San Juan, the Revolution Square, the exterior of Santa Ifigenia graveyard and the Moncada Barracks. Accommodation will be at a local hotel.
DAY 10 » FOLLOWING A REVOLUTIONARY TRAIL
An early breakfast will announce departure to Bayamo city. You´ll be driven to Santiago Viazul bus station to board a bus heading to Bayamo. After arriving to your hotel, you will discover the rebellious spirit of Bayamo on a walking tour featuring the city’s highlights. Wander around the town centre and whereabouts to learn about interesting episodes in the history of Cuba. Daily life here revolves around Céspedes Park, the Hymn Square and Céspedes birthplace (museum and monument). The tour includes a visit to Wax Museum and a drink. Entrance fee included. Accommodation will be at a local hotel also on Bed & Breakfast basis. In the evening, a local guide will take you out to enjoy traditional Cuban music in a town filled with culture.
DAY 11 » MOVING TO TINAJONES KINGDOM
You will leave Bayamo after breakfast on a Viazul coach with private transfers driving you from your hotel to the Viazul Bayamo bus station and from Viazul Camaguey to the hotel in Camaguey. After taking a short rest, your local guide will introduce you to the charm of real life and traditional music in live performances at Casa de la Trova in Camaguey.
DAY 12 » DECIPHERING THE MYSTERIES OF THE CLAY POTS´ CITY
Enjoy a nice breakfast and get ready for a pleasant stroll along the rich colonial-style UNESCO heritage centre of Camaguey city. Discover its irregular, intricate street network while admiring the architectural beauty of San Juan de Dios Square, Ignacio Agramonte Park and the Worker’s Square among other local attractions. This tour includes a coffee break. In the afternoon, you will be privately driven to Trinidad where you will stay at a lovely private house accommodation with dinner included this first night. Start getting acquainted with this marvelous city by strolling around in the evening accompanied by a local guide.
DAY 13 » LIVING IN THE MUSEUM CITY OF CUBA
On your thirteenth day you will discover the beauties of this boutique town as well as a nature reserve park with strikingly impressive views. Once you had your breakfast, you will be guided through the historical centre of Trinidad, a city full of remarkable colonial architecture classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour around Plaza Mayor and Museo Romántico. Stop at La Canchánchara bar to taste a Cuban cocktail made with rum, lemon and honey. There will be time to shop at the craft markets before lunch. Afterwards, travel to Topes de Collantes, a natural park nestled in the Escambray Mountains with beautiful endemic flora and fauna and magnificent views. Stop at La Casa del Café to taste some of Cuba’s best coffee. Lunch is included.
DAY 14 » RELAXING IN TRINIDAD
After the homemade breakfast prepared by your hosts, you will have a whole day to spend as you wish. You may go to the beach or ask your guide for further suggestions.
DAY 15 » TRAVELING TO "THE PEARL OF THE SOUTH"
After your first meal, you will be transferred privately to Cienfuegos, the so called “Pearl of the South“. Enjoy a panoramic tour through the National Monument (La Punta), El Palacio de Valle and El Paseo del Prado. Stroll along the boulevard to visit the monument to one of Cuba’s most treasured musicians, Beny Moré. Make the most of your time in the city’s heart by visiting the Cathedral as well as the Thomas Terry Theatre, one of Cuba’s oldest and most beautiful theatres. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you´ll need to catch your bus to return to Havana. Accommodation will be at a local hotel on Bed & Breakfast basis.
DAY 16 » SAYING GOODBYE TO CUBA
With breakfast included in your hotel, you will ready to leave this island full of surprises. A private vehicle will transfer you to the Jose Marti International Airport for your outbound flight. You may use your time in between to buy some nice souvenirs at the craft market or to visit to that restaurant that looked so nice but didn´t have the chance to try before!
