DAY 1 » LANDING ON HAVANA
You will be welcomed in Havana at the Jose Marti International Airport and privately transferred to Beltran de Santa Cruz hotel in the old part of the city. Dinner is included at the hotel restaurant.
DAY 2 » EXPLORING THE HISTORICAL TOWN
Enjoy a nice breakfast and get ready for your first guided tour. Take your camera and your bottle of water (included!) and start this 3-hour exploration of the old part of the city through its World Heritage’s colonial architecture and cobblestoned streets. Stroll to Plaza de Armas, Plaza de San Francisco de Asis, Plaza Vieja and Plaza de la Catedral. Wander through the small gift shops selling handmade souvenirs and photograph the magnificent buildings. Just when your body clock tells you it is time for lunch, you will try the flavours of Cuban and international cuisine at one of Havana’s restaurants. Meals are served on a set menu with one drink included. Your private transport will then take you to a dance hall in Old Havana where you will move your hips and feet at the pace of Cuban music for 90 minutes with the assistance of a qualified instructor. Pay attention to the basic steps for you will need them in the evening when you go to Café Taberna Beny Moré. A formal or semiformal dress code will suit you for this nightspot where you will enjoy listening to the music of a great band reminiscent of the 1950’s music while enjoying a welcome cocktail. Excellent dancers accompany the band to let you have a glimpse into Cubans great dancing skills. A set menu meal is included with two drinks. Return to your hotel for a deserved rest.
DAY 3 » MOVING FROM MODERN HAVANA TO WESTERN GREEN LANDS
After breakfast, you will be driven across a different Havana, riding in a vehicle of your choice. Please, do not quit your camera or your comfortable shoes and clothes! Travel through neighborhoods such as Central Havana, Vedado and Miramar. You will ride past the Capitol Building, Revolution Square, Hotel Nacional and the University of Havana among others. Entrance to one Museum is included as well as a complimentary drink in one of the private restaurants at the suburbs. Afterwards, you will enjoy lunch at one of Havana’s restaurants. Meals are served on a set menu with one drink included. In the afternoon, your private trip continues to the beautiful rural community Las Terrazas. Accommodation is at Moka Hotel where you will have your dinner.
DAY 4 » VISITING THE LAND OF TOBACCO
The singing of the birds will announce breakfast time and the beginning of your Pinar del Rio quest. First, you´ll be privately transferred along the National Highway to the city of Pinar del Rio. There you’ll have the chance to visit a Cigar Factory (entrance fee included) and learn about the process of cigar manufacturing and buy the Habanos of your liking. Continue to the Viñales Valley to visit stunning natural and man-made sites such as the Prehistoric Mural (entrance fee included), Los Jazmines lookout and the Indian cave (boat trip included). Lunch is at Palenque de los Cimarrones, a singular mountain that used to provide shelter to runaway slaves back in colonial times. Before sunset, you´ll be taken back to your hotel in Las Terrazas where you will enjoy your third meal of the day.
DAY 5 » VISITING THE CHE GUEVARA CITY
Say goodbye to Western Cuba after breakfast to be driven privately to Havana. There, a bus will transfer you to Santa Clara, the so called city of Che Guevara. Explore the historical past of Santa Clara through its revolutionary legacy. Learn about the battles that took place during the Cuban revolution. Visit the Ernesto “Che” Guevara Mausoleum (entrance fee included), the Armoured Train Park-Museum, Leoncio Vidal Park and the Boulevard. After lunch provided at a local restaurant with one drink included, continue to Trinidad where you will be welcomed at a comfortable private house accommodation for two nights on half board basis. You will enjoy an unforgettable evening of music and dance, accompanied by a very attentive and nice local that will assist you to orientate yourself.
DAY 6 » EXPERIENCE TIME TRAVELLING IN TRINIDAD´S DOMAINS
You´ll want to rush your breakfast when you hear the first jingles of your 6th morning in Cuba. With your comfy outfit on, you will wander through the historical centre of Trinidad, a city full of remarkable colonial architecture classified as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour around Plaza Mayor and Museo Romántico. Stop at La Canchánchara bar to taste a Cuban cocktail made with rum, lemon and honey. There will be time to shop at the craft markets before lunch. Afterwards, travel to Tope de Collantes, a natural park nestled in the Escambray Mountains with beautiful endemic flora and fauna and breathtaking views. Stop at La Casa del Café to taste some of Cuba’s best coffee. Once you are back to your private house accommodation, you will enjoy a delicious homemade dinner.
DAY 7 » DISCOVERING THE MARVELS OF CIENFUEGOS ARCHITECTURE
On day seven, Cuba´s love affair continues with a Cienfuegos panoramic tour after breakfast and private transfer from Trinidad. Enjoy French colonial flair combined with Spanish architecture while you stroll to the Marti Park, the Tomas Terry Theatre (entrance fee included), the Purisma Concepcion Cathedral, the Paseo del Prado and the town’s oldest house. After a brief rest at Meson El Palatino, continue to Punta Gorda where you could relish the amazing views of the bay and the Malecon. Then, visit the nautical club and Palacio del Valle, a jewel of eclectic architecture. A brief stop for by a refreshing cocktail is included and a box lunch with a sandwich and 1 drink will be provided in order to maximize your hours of sightseeing. Your guide will escort you to the bus station where a collective transfer will take you back to Havana bus station. Once there, you will be privately transferred to Beltran de Santa Cruz hotel with dinner included.
DAY 8 » BELLA CUBA FAREWELL
After enjoying your breakfast included at the hotel, you are ready to say goodbye or see-you-soon to the Bella Cuba. While you wait for the transport that will take you to Havana International Airport, you will probably want to visit the craft market to get some nice souvenirs for your family and friends. They will love it!
